THE
ART OF
BENJAMIN OPPONG-DANQUAH
Benjamin Oppong-Danquah is a professional artist born on the 5th
of December 1967 in Accra, Ghana. Had his ordinary level secondary
education at the Nsutaman Catholic Secondary, Nsuta Ashanti and advanced
level education at Wenchi Methodist Secondary in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
I am a member of the African/Caribbean association, Watford area
art forum in Watford and a member of the Midland Textile Design Forum.
I have also designed a book cover for the Afro/Caribbean Association
(Elders project). |

Exhibitions: In 1998, participated in Accra International Handicraft Fair, Accra, Ghana organized by Ghana Export Promotion Council. April 2003 invited by Thailand Trade Centre in Accra to participate in Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fair, Thailand. October 2003, invited by Expo Africa to participate in Expo 2003 exhibition in Britain at the Alexandra Palace, London where I exhibited the portraits of the President of Ghana and the King of the Ashanti Kingdom among others. November 2003 invited by the Managing Director of Openet Plc in Harlesden to participate in exhibition for Black History Month. February 2004 participated in Ethic Exhibitions Jewellery and Handicraft
Fair in Earlscourts some of my works have been to the United States,
Great Britain and Canada. |
